Shining a Spotlight on Cover Art

We’ve got a lot of stuff coming out as part of our ThirdScribe 3.0 upgrade. A big part of this upgrade, and probably the most visible change, are the improvements to our Book Pages and Book Cards.

ThirdScribe Book Pages are practically mini-websites in themselves. Not only do they have book listing information (cover, description, sales links), but they also have social and communication features, like the activity stream, book reviews, individual book forums, event calendars, and email.

That’s a lot of power in there — a lot of power.

But, we’re making them even better. And here’s how:

A New and Improved Book Card

ThirdScribe Author Pages and Sites are equipped with Enter Once, our book management system which allows authors to place books anywhere on their site instantly and easily via Book Cards. When we first introduced our book cards, they were pretty exciting. Easy to use, easy to place, and profoundly functional. Maybe too functional – at least from an aesthetic point of view.

While our original book cards worked great, authors had one repeating complaint: they didn’t like they way they looked.

So, we overhauled our entire code base to change that. Now book covers are bigger, bolder, and easier to place than ever.

You can see the cards on their own above, and here’s how they look when embedded in an author website:

Individual ThirdScribe Book Pages also get some touchup love, with bigger cover images, a streamlined buy button, and a smoother social interface.

And, their responsive design ensures they look just as good on mobile devices of all shapes and sizes.

More Customization Options

While we already offer a lot of features with our book pages, we wanted to add just a little bit more: author tailored content. Now with TS Book Pages authors can create additional pages to place in their Book Pages — previews, newsletter signups, character bios — whatever they want.

Better Service Through Innovation

ThirdScribe is committed to empowering authors, publishers, and readers online. We see ThirdScribe Book Pages as a central part of that vision.

ThirdScribe Book pages provide authors and publishers with a web tool they control. Unlike other services, like Goodreads or BookLikes, authors and publishers have control over purchase links, cover art, and book descriptions. Our balance of features and control provide the most complete book social marketing tool anywhere on the web.

Our Book Pages provide Readers with accurate information and unparalleled conversation tools. Each book has it’s own forum and social stream, which can be used by Readers for Author Q&A, book club discussions, sharing pics of signed copies — the possibilities are wide open.

All completely ad free, because ads suck.
